Jami, the owner of a strong mind and will, was born on September 26, 1971, in Avenal, a city in California. Belonging to a family with diverse religious views, Jami was open to exploring what she herself wanted to believe in. During high school, Jami’s family shifted to Abilene. After graduating from Wylie High School, Jami got into Abilene Christian University (ACU) in 1996 and did her Bachelors in Science Family and Consumer Science, where she met her husband, Justin. She then acquired her Master’s degree in Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin Simmons University in 1998. After getting married to Justin, the couple moved to Houston.

Jami, nevertheless, did not realize her potential of being a writer. She initially started off as a blogger at “Sacred Ground, Sticky Floors,” where her remarkable writing skills helped her appear in the limelight. The platform connected her with the Oregon-based Christian publishing house, Harvest House, through which she signed a two-book contract. The first one was “Stolen Jesus, An Unconventional Search for The Real Savior!” published in October 2017.
