She has been creating makeup looks for brides, wedding guests and other events in India and across the major parts of the world, including Canada, Australia, US and the UK.
It’s quite evident through Nav’s social media handles that her work is appreciated and loved amongst the new-age brides who want to keep it simple yet glam. Nav clearly understands the growing need of modern makeup and accentuating the natural features of a face while preparing it for the big day. She makes it a point to try out different styles of makeup on each face and make it look the best of what it can, naturally. From her airbrush bridal makeup to HD party makeup, each technique is customised to go for what will look the best on each client/bride. The fact that international brides book her months before D-Day proves the kind of exemplary work she does. With the increasing number of bookings she was receiving in just a few years down the line, she realised the need of having a professional team with a similar industry understanding around her to cater to the needs of the maximum people. So, she launched her own make-up studio and soon after that an academy to train people with the art of Modern Makeup: Nav Brar Studios & Makeup Academy in Chandigarh, Punjab. The idea of opening an academy popped up in her mind after realising that there wasn’t any academy in the region that taught contemporary makeup skills to the makeup enthusiasts.
Today, Nav Brar’s academy provides hands-on experience to students who are passionate about taking makeup as their full-time career. Here, they offer knowledge on international trends, techniques, products and the best facilities that allow an easy exposure to quality learning. Nav’s academy is helping the young talents explore their skills to the best of their capabilities and be the next big leaders in the makeup and beauty industry. Many of them have also got an opportunity to work personally with Nav and a few of them have even grown to be Nav’s favourite team members today.
