A statement was released by Epic Games in which they explained why the Fortnite mechs, which are usually known as B.R.U.T.E. mechs in the game, introduced at the start of Season X will not go anywhere.
Ever since Epic Games Nerf Fortnite’s BRUTE Mechs is launched, many players are found arguing that the mechs are messing up their tried-and-true Fortnite tactics which is disrupting the competitive play. The Fortnite players want the mechs to go. Recently Epic had decreased the spawn rates of the mechs. They also added a massive laser pointer.
According to Epic Games, the B.R.U.T.E. was added at the start of Season X with a proper mission. It intended to bring players of all skill levels together where they can have a fun experience and where anyone can win. It is about the feeling that comes when you are eliminated for the first time or when you gain a Royale Victory. However there are many players out there who still have never had that opportunity. Fortnite was also aimed to provide spectacle and entertainment at the time of playing.
In their statement, Epic Games mentioned about two charts that showcase what it claims is the relatively small impact mechs are having on Fortnite gameplay. As per the charts, any average B.R.U.T.E. eliminations per game hovers around six in Duos, Squads, and Team Rumble. They sit at four in Solos matches and are barely a factor in Arena Solos and Trios. The B.R.U.T.E. eliminations per game are less than 10% for every game type.
So in other words B.R.U.T.E.s, that was pioneered for casual players to enjoy the game as much as hardcore ones, will not go any where and shall reside as it is, concluded Epic.
