Establishing a successful start-up is one of the most challenging realities being faced by countless entrepreneurs today, and those who think out of the box are often the ones who end up meeting their objectives and even exceeding them. Australian entrepreneur, start-up coach, and problem-solver Michael Fenech is making waves in the industry today with his own tech business, a platform called VoiceByte, a media technology that was going to disrupt the way audiences interact with radio stations, TV shows, and podcasts.
If anything, Michael has always been known for his problem-solving techniques that often end up disrupting industries by offering solutions that are innovative and uncommon. Throughout his entrepreneurial journey, he has established many disruptive start-ups, such as the business he created for the real estate space. It was extraordinary and disruptive that it ended up getting banned by the platforms he intended to advertise on simply because it had the potential to impact real estate agents and their potential profits. Instead of being discouraged, Michael became even more inspired to come up with new ideas.
“My mind works by looking for ways to make things more efficient, easier to do, with less effort,” Michael shared. “So essentially, I am a problem solver. I love the challenge of finding a problem and creating a solution to make people’s lives better. Creating businesses is my outlet to let my mind flow with ideas to make people’s lives easier and solve all their problems.”
VoiceByte is a project that Michael is extremely proud of. To make it work, he built a team composed of former Facebook executives, the founding VP of Yahoo U.S.A., and several promising entrepreneurs from Australia. The start-up gained so much attention that iHeart Media, the largest media company in America today, reached out to Michael and his team to learn more about their product. After making their pitch, iHeart Media ended up loving VoiceByte and immediately gave Michael and his team a term sheet to invest in the business. iHeart Media valued VoiceByte in the Series A round at $29 million.
After iHeart Media’s remarkable investment, others followed suit. The overwhelming response and reception of investors opened exciting doors for the VoiceByte team. The team was able to work closely with Ryan Seacrest, Logan Paul, magicians Penn and Teller, Nick Viall, James Charles, Radar Online, Jesse Paege, Hay House Publishers, and so many other influencers, radio stations, TV Networks, and podcasts from all over the world.
Michael believes that the successful launch of VoiceByte is due to his effectiveness in identifying a real problem and finding the best solution for it. For any start-up, he highly recommends the simple exercise of identifying a problem and simply finding a solution that will remedy it.
Apart from being a thriving entrepreneur, Michael is also an Amazon FBA seller. He and Jamie Paros started their own Amazon Facebook group known as The EndGame Network. Through the group, they try to help as many people as possible by teaching them the right kind of information to follow, the best techniques to employ, and the latest tips and tricks available today.
As an entrepreneur, Michael knows all too well the many challenges that business people like him encounter on a day-to-day basis. It is for this reason that he likes sharing insights and solutions that will make things a little easier for those who are just starting in their entrepreneurial journey. All it takes for them to succeed in any start-up is to study the market well and identify the needs that are still not being met. By looking at his example, they can learn about his personal journey and what risks he took to get to where he is now.
