Through a series of in-depth interviews, viewers will gain insight into some tricks of the trade, hear entertaining stories, and learn from a company with over fifty years of creating stunning visual solutions.

Through the series’ captivating conversations, Duggal hopes to shed light on the many practical processes that go into creating first rate prints. “Photographers of all skills come to Duggal Visual Solutions because our print experts know the secret recipe for photo print perfection. By producing this video series, we would like to help educate our audience and provide some practical advice from the best of the industry,” says Bruce.

Episode one welcomes acclaimed American photographer Elliott Landy as its featured guest. Landy rose to prominence as a photographer in the late 1960s, when he became well known for his photographs featuring contemporary musicians. His subjects include Bob Dylan, Janice Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and more. In 1969, Landy attended the famous Woodstock Festival, and captured the collective experience of the emergent counter culture music scene that inspired a generation.

As an acclaimed and experienced photographer, Landy understands as well as anyone the value of quality printing. Photo prints serve as the primary medium through which many audiences are able to experience an artist’s work. When it comes time to realize his work from negatives to prints, Landy works with Duggal’s team of printing experts for guidance. When it comes to printing, the team at Duggal understands the impact that a print can have for the artist, their audience, and potential buyers.

As Duggal’s Master Printer, Bledsoe understands the delicate conditions he must account for in order to produce the perfect print. “Things like humidity, speed, room temperature, and other environmental factors can contribute to the success (or failure) of printing any given image, and the chemistry balances must be maintained and checked every couple of hours. With photographic printing, tests need to be produced before running finals to ensure that all of the variable factors are falling within strict guidelines as dictated by industry standards.”

Through just a few consultations, Ken and his team were able to take Landy’s vision and translate it faithfully into an exceptional finished product. “That’s what’s great,” says Landy,
“to be able to talk and have it appear on paper.”

As the series continues, viewers will have a unique opportunity to learn about the latest in printing techniques, technologies, and innovation from industry professionals and the clients they serve. From experts to lay people, Duggal’s ‘Print like a Pro’ series is perfect for anyone looking to learn more about the fascinating world of professional printing.
