I am Born on 18th of September 1999 in Ghent and raised in township Evergem, with one brother and my mom and dad.
My dad was a fighter and I knew from my child that i wanted to be like him. So I started to go train with him at the age of 7 At the age of 12 i went studying sports and science. I didn’t like it because it was to much studying and less training.
So I searched something easier. I tried mechanics but i hated it. Then i tried graphics design and i loved it. I graduated when I was 18 (graphics design) and i went working at a factory named Volvo Cars i had a great job (testing the new cars). After 6 month of nightshifts I quit working. I designed my own Logo of my boxing team. And i made clothes and sold it by instagram. Also i designed my own boxinggloves and a factory in pakistan made them and send it to me 200 pairs sold. Then covid came and it fucked up a little bit my boxing career. Is quit training and i was doing nothing at home for 2 years my motivation was empty, i had only 2 professional fights after 2 years doing nothing covid was come to an end and i was returning. Oktober 15 last year i did a comeback and won the 6 rounds against a good pushing fighter then covid came back and everything was closed again and events were cancelled. So when it totally was over (i guess in February) I started training again on a new weighclass (light heavyweight) i came from middleweight. I felt stronger. My next fight was on may 13 and I won in the 3th round with a brutal KO victory.
At the age of 14, Lee decided to really go for it. His first camp followed two years later. The same night his father boxed his farewell match. That night, hundreds of Tony Ingelrest fans became fans of son Lee. “If I’m popular now, I owe it in large part to my father. He is a sympathetic guy who doesn’t hurt anyone. Except who touches him. (laughs) I do it for the fans. They are incredible. Every time before the Boxing Gala they are waiting for me outside with Bengali fireworks. That gives me an incredible kick and motivates me to go for it.
In 2016 father and son both win The succession is assured. His son is Champion of the Flemish Boxing League and is called a better edition of Tony by experts. “Lee is indeed doing very well as an amateur,” said father Tony. “He is very popular. Two supporter buses were put in. He has already said that he wants to become a professional. But I advised him to accept as many competitions as possible as an amateur and only take the step when he is really ready.”

“1969, my mom’s birth year. That’s my left. My first hand. Left foot forward and jab-jab. And 1974, my dad’s birth year. My strongest hand.”
