As the famous quote by Lenin goes, there are decades where nothing happens and there are weeks where decades happen. The last few weeks certainly fit the former part of this quote. With the outbreak of COVID-19 in every part of the world, life has come to a halt. Businesses in all industries are facing a sharp decline in their revenue (with the exception of a few). For some, it has even gone down to zero, thus making it extremely difficult for them to survive during this period. However, Ambro Di Pilato believes there’s a silver lining to all this.
Ambro Di Pilato is a millionaire and one of the most successful entrepreneurs of this decade. Hailing from Canada, Ambro dropped out of college at the age of 19 and stepped into the world of art, helping artists by connecting them to potential buyers. Soon enough, Ambro became an expert in the field of sales. So much so that after spending a year in the art industry, he found his first venture, Ambro Galleries, one of the largest franchises of pop-up galleries in Canada.
The young entrepreneur later transitioned his skills into his second and most successful venture, The Stratton Sales Agency. The agency helps entrepreneurs and businesses in scaling their monthly returns to six-digital figures by closing high-ticket deals on their behalf. So far, Ambro and his team have assisted several businesses in drastically increasing their sales revenue by helping them transition from low-ticket to the high-ticket selling business model.
According to Ambro, the COVID-19 crisis has provided entrepreneurs the perfect opportunity to revaluate and change the arc of their business model. This is particularly true for businesses that are reliant on the brick and mortar selling approach for the most part. Ambro thinks there is a dire need for businesses to shift to the online selling approach – and he’s right. In 2019, the e-commerce industry reported total revenue of $700 million in the U.S alone, and this figure is expected to grow at a fast pace in the near future.
Transitioning from brick and mortar to online selling approach can be a little tricky. However, Ambro thinks that due to slow business, entrepreneurs have a lot of extra time on their hands. They can use this time to do their research and find out whether the online approach will benefit them or not, build a strong online presence, and then slowly shift towards it. The process will be a little slow but positive results are guaranteed. While speaking about this, Ambro shared that even when everything has come to a halt, his agency is 100% operational.
“In light of the current recession and COVID-19 pandemic, this was the best decision I ever made. Practically every brick and mortar business – aside from those deemed essential being – is shut down and this has made it evident that working in an office or having 1 source of income is not sustainable. Being able to work from home while expanding and keeping my business 100% operational has helped not only my sales executives but my clients thrive during these uncertain times,” Ambro says.
Ambro believes that aside from entrepreneurs, individuals working in regular jobs should also use this time to expand their skillset. He believes that these turbulent times are here to stay and with the increasing uncertainty in the job market, salaried individuals should always have a backup plan. These individuals can either explore other career fields or start a small venture of their own. This way, they’ll always have a safety net. A good example of this is Ambro’s team itself, which comprises of experienced sales agents who can potentially earn $10,000 by closing a single deal.
Indeed, Ambro’s advice can be very useful for both entrepreneurs and regular employees who want to avoid the hurdles they are bound to face in the near future. Remember that a little effort now will undoubtedly go a long way.
