While real estate is a lucrative industry for anyone looking to gain financial freedom, not many talks about how difficult it can be when they get started. Jalal Abuimweis is a renowned investor and landlord in Miami and has made a name for himself as The King of Miami Real Estate. However, before inheriting the crown as king, Jalal found himself struggling to stay afloat.
Jalal Abuimweis’ journey into his real estate fame started over six years ago. He was 28 years old and working to make a name for himself, spending his early days living in his car. Like most people in the real estate space, Jalal was drawn to the promise of achieving financial freedom. However, he found that it was not as easy as people hyped it to be. “I didn’t have any income,” he revealed.
Determined to succeed, Jalal would endure months of trials and tribulations, learning the ropes while sleeping in his car. The endeavor was gruesome, but the young up-and-coming real estate investor was determined to make it work. Eventually, Jalal made his breakthrough, the first transaction of hundreds to follow. Once he found his footing and accomplished his second deal, Jalal was able to finally afford a room to sleep in and clean himself up. Since then, Jalal had found his pace and never looked back.
Today, he is known as The King of Miami Real Estate and is the landlord of over 51 apartments in the city. In the last three years, he was able to buy and sell over 400 properties, an impressive feat that has earned him his current moniker. Jalal would later start a brand that offers cash for distressed real estate that closes on the day of the seller’s choice.
“What I do is, I buy distressed real estate from sellers that can’t maintain their homes and need the cash to solve a problem they may have and sell the real estate to investors in the area,” Jalal explained, “So we help people in need and help the neighborhood to improve by selling the properties to an investor who improves the property and sells it an end buy.”
Jalal Abuimweis attributes his success to the knowledge, skills, and experience he acquired through his journey. He is particularly proud of his ability to communicate as it has helped attract the right people to him. Jalal also takes pride in working with ethics. “We always do the right thing and go above and beyond to accomplish the sale, which helps everyone involved,” he elaborated.
Once a homeless budding real estate investor, the King of Miami Real Estate now enjoys a daily routine that has him waking up at 5 am to work out and grab breakfast before heading to the office three hours later and finishing his work between 7 and 8 pm. Jalal founded the Miami Movers Conference, where he will be speaking with several entrepreneurs to share their stories.
Jalal Abuimweis hopes to take his expertise to the south as he has set his mind to bringing his brand to South America, where he hopes to become the largest real estate investment firm.
