How Former Professional Baseball Player, Sam Flamont, Found Financial Freedom Through Real Estate

Sam knew he could do better, but his past experiences taught him that the best way to change your own life is to help people change theirs.

Sam got the inspiration to get into real estate from his best friend’s girlfriend. She had full and total control of her time. She had freedom and could schedule her time to suit her lifestyle.

Sam was a professional baseball player and a Division 1 baseball coach. He Co-owned a baseball training company that focused heavily on the mental aspect and also to ensure athletes enhance their skills to enable them to perform better on the field. Sam loved helping kids see potential in themselves, but he didn’t see a future in it for himself.

He talked to his business partner and decided to give coaching a try for one more year, on the condition that if he gets another complaint from a parent, he was going straight into real estate. The complaint came five minutes later, and he had enough. He hung up and decided that was it with coaching. Sam literally turned his car around and went straight to Coldwell Banker.

He knew a few realtors at Coldwell Banker and after a 2-hour conversation, he signed up for the class, took the test, and started his career. Sam wasted no time getting started. The day he passed his test he headed straight to the office and hit the phone, cold calling for sale by owners and expired listings. His efforts paid off quickly and it gave Sam the momentum to keep going. In just his fourth year as a realtor, he broke into the top 10 realtors in his board in sales. The following year, he moved up another spot and set another personal record for sales volume.

In just 5 years in the business, Sam has already made a name for himself and has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge. He is disciplined enough to devote himself to continuous learning and also to share what he has learned.

He is well aware that you are as good as those you surround yourself with so Sam has surrounded himself with high achievers with big goals. Those that inspire him to become a better version of himself. He has a team that works together as he said, “there’s no fun when you win alone”. He loves when everyone around him wins and reaches their full potential. A team where they set goals and achieve their goals together.

Sam and his team own a mix of single-family, multi-family, Airbnb rentals, and soon, they will close on 65 storage units

The Mitten Real Estate Group” is a real estate brokerage offering clients buying and selling services, property management, tools to learn investing in real estate, along with working with developers from start to finish.

Sam’s form of marketing was what made him stand out quickly in the business. His use of video for both humor and to help others learn the ins and outs of the real estate business, and how to invest in real estate. Also, the impact of social media cannot be overlooked in helping him build his business quickly.

When he started his real estate business, he drove for over 2 hours just to help clients, he did everything legal and ethical to find deals for his clients. His unique understanding of how investing in real estate works sets him even further apart as an expert in the field. Oftentimes, other realtors contact him for advice on how to break down deals and find the right properties.

In his first year as a realtor, he sold 36 homes. This gave his life a huge turnaround. He went from making $15k per year to over $100k in his first year.

His company, The Mitten Real Estate Group, sold 26,000,000+ million and 32,000,000+million in the 5th year, and this year already, the 6th year, they are at 43,000,000+million closed and pending.

Through social media, he mentors other agents for free, other agents have purchased his book, “hustle till it happens”. In 6years, he went from dead broke to owning 3 personal houses, 16 units with his partners and they are about to close on a 65 unit storage facility.

In his local real estate market, Sam was the first to use video as a form of advertising at the capacity in which he did. Since then, other agents have followed suit. Sam is the kind of person that is known to make things happen and bring deals together. This has made him sell out 4 developments in his first five years and will be listing 3 more within the next year.

2021 is his biggest challenge yet. It’s quite tough to make sales in 2021. Despite this, what has kept him going and pushing forward is his team. He feels he has a responsibility to provide for them. He wants everyone on his team to be successful and thrive in real estate and in life.

One thing that has worked well for Sam over the years is his ability to learn continuously. He listened to big agents and wrote down what he learned from them. He gave a tip on how he broke into real estate so fast. He realized no one had taken the leverage of social media, he knew instantly that he could dominate it and make it his playing field.

In a few years from now, Sam sees himself among the top 3 producing agents, but more than anything else, he sees himself in total control of his life. His goal is to get his passive income up and all outstanding debts paid off in 5years. At that time, he will be working not because he has to, but because he wants to.

He aims to help other realtors do well in real estate through mentoring. He is an inspiration to many of them, and they will be eager to learn from him.
