Gwei Noel Yengong who is best known for his stage name Manlikeclix is a fashion icon originally from Africa.
What is interesting about Mr Gwei Noel Yengong is his skills on online business and how he managed to move from being a refugee in Brugge – Belgium to being one of the most influential Africans in the fashion industry.
Gwei Noel Yengong was born in a little village in Cameroon called Banso in the North West region of Cameroon, studied motor mechanics and travelled to Europe at the age of 17 for further studies. Arriving in Europe his visa expired and with a back ground of poor parents, he couldn’t continue paying his school fees so he moved to Belgium in a refugee camp where he was protected for about 2 years.
The following year he was granted scholarship in the London university of Arts. He moved to London where he met the mother of his child of German nationality. They then both moved to Germany where Gwei Noel Yengong discovered his talent in digital marketing and developed his skills via the influencer marketing ( owning over a total of more than 1million followers on instagram in different niches ).
From the rise of social media, Manlikeclix utilised it for brand deals, selling products and promo space making him one of the highest rags to riches stories from African origin.
He said “I have always knew I was going to be successful and I knew that success comes with time despite my years in the refugee camp under protection in Brugge Belgium I used to tell my friends one day I will live in a big mansion with 5 cars lol“
