Jairo Escobar’s Paintball Comeback and Preparation for the 2021 Season

A D3-ranked professional paintball player, an entrepreneur, and a YouTuber with over 250,000 subscribers – is there anything that Jairo Rafael Escobar Cordoba cannot do? Born in 1999, Escobar is already a global YouTube sensation. But this fame didn’t come overnight. Escobar had to grind his way to the top, both as a YouTuber and a professional paintball player.

Many people only see the fame that success brings to celebrities. But they don’t see the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Today, you will know what it took for Escobar to become a YouTube sensation.

Escobar’s love for paintball

Escobar is a passionate paintball player. Apart from making YouTube content since his teenage years, Escobar used to play paintball for hours on end. He wanted to become a professional paintball player and participate in various tournaments. Escobar even became a D3-ranked paintball professional while living in Venezuela.

However, he couldn’t sustain his journey in paintball because he picked his career as a YouTuber. Earning through paintball was becoming a challenging task. On the other hand, he was already doing well with his YouTube videos. And so, he decided to come to Toronto, Canada, in 2017 to take his YouTube career forward.

Although Escobar is now one of the most popular Latino YouTubers, he still has the same passion for paintball. He couldn’t stay away from the game for long. Escobar made a surprising comeback in 2020, showing everyone that he still has the swagger in paintball.

When asked about his comeback, Escobar said, “I was missing the game like crazy. It took me more than seven years to become a D3-ranked professional when I was in my hometown. Why throw it away when I spent so many years to get to that position? I intentionally returned from retirement in 2020 because I wanted to participate in the 2021 Ontario Paintball League. It is my dream to participate in a renowned league, and I think I’m getting my moves back in time to participate in this one.”

Escobar’s followers and subscribers are looking forward to his performance in paintball. The Latino is confident that he will increase the viewership of the Ontario Paintball League with his followers. It’s a matter of time when you see one of your favorite YouTubers return to the pro scene and possibly emerge as the winner.

Amassing 250,000 subscribers

“I never imagined I would reach 250,000 subscribers so quickly. It’s a dream-come-true moment for me, honestly. To see so many people loving my videos, I can’t describe this feeling in words. I promise to keep working harder and come up with innovative videos not to let my viewers and subscribers down.”

A chunk of Escobar’s subscribers come from the channels for which Escobar previously developed content, such as RealJairoEscobar, Jairon558, and Toronto Party Commission. He is now the most-viewed Latino YouTuber based in Toronto, managing to accumulate more than 250,000 subscribers in just two years.

Escobar’s journey to the top is an inspiration for many. Latino YouTubers are following in his footsteps to become a YouTube star like him.
