Jessie Sims wants to take pranks to a new level

Since the prank genre on social media has continued to flourish and gain mass popularity within the last several years, it goes without saying that for the most part, it’s dominated by men. From small jokes on the street to grand, elaborate, and sometimes risky pranks, the love for this type of content isn’t going away anytime soon. One jaw-dropping influencer hopes to change the game.

Based out of Los Angeles, CA, social media star Jessie Sims is making a name for herself. After moving to LA in 2016 to pursue a career in modeling and acting, she came across roadblocks in the countless auditions she attended when companies asked about her number of followers. Sims knew she had to rethink her plans.

“I started focusing my efforts on creating content full-time and growing a following,” she says.

Having grown up actively watching YouTube videos, Sims always knew it was something she wanted to dive into, so she began posting across all social media platforms more strategically. This is when she began seeing traction within the comedy and prank community online.

It would be an understatement to the small-town girl, turned social media guru and star, that she made the right shift. She has amassed 739k followers on her Instagram account, an impressive 178k subscribers on YouTube, and a whopping 2.3M followers on TikTok, which has opened her up to a whole new world of modeling and branding opportunities. But beyond social media and off your phone screens, Sims is a woman who loves to have fun and has found fulfillment in making others laugh.

“It’s such a huge part of my life now that I can’t imagine not doing it,” she says

While Sims loves to explore and experiment with different types of content including product reviews and vlogs, some of her most views videos on her YouTube are “Extreme Dares in Public” and “Best Friend Prank Wars.” She finds that her willingness to take risks on social media and create bold, creative content across all platforms sets her aside from the average influencer.

“I feel like a lot of female content creators hold back when it comes to the crazier pranks/stunts,” Sims says. “This is something I’m really going to start focusing more on. I’ve done some pretty crazy stuff in the past but a lot of the time it gets removed from Instagram.”

Despite her trouble with pranks on Instagram, Tiktok has welcomed her content with open arms. With over 26.3 million likes on her page, Sims keeps up with all the latest trends on the platform and continues to attract users with her authentic, light-hearted posts.

Whether she’s striking a pose, pulling pranks, or doing dares, one thing is for sure: Jessie Sims is here to stay.
