When someone believes in their talent and is confident in their work, nothing can stop them from becoming successful. Australia’s supermodel Lisa Bree Hoggarth is an apt example of the same. With her talent, beauty, gentle glamour dedication and zeal to do something impactful in life, she made a successful career in modelling, which she also believes is a sport.
Lisa has always managed to captivate people. She has been the face of various fashion magazines, been a part of various popular events and interviewed by different publications. On social media too, Lisa leaves her followers bewitched with stunning looks and outfits, crushing the saying “another dumb model”, Lisa holds a Diploma in Creative And Indigeneous Writing and is an Author as well.
It was the year 2020 when Lisa Bree Hoggarth started her modelling career in Melbourne Australia. The thirty three year old said, “I used what I had, did what I could and there wasn’t anything glamorous about my old and yucky teal green carpet for my runway, I was starved as an artist.” One may think it is odd that she flourished when the world had come to a standstill due to the pandemic, perhaps that’s what puts her in the category of Top 25 Entrepreneurs to Watch In 2021. But Lisa said that she decided to keep working on her vision, no matter what people were saying. When the industry experts claimed that the fashion industry was going through loss and beauty shops and businesses were shutting down, Lisa would disagree, she hand wrote to Kate Darvill at Vogue, Giorgio Armani and various others, to introduce her concept. With none of their support, she backed herself and persisted to give back to an industry struggling – she did so by dressing up, tagging designers, buying clothes online and treating her hallway as a runway.
Lisa would dress up, pose, click, and share up to ten pictures and videos on her Instagram Instagram.com/hallways_are_runways a day to launch herself as a model. At the same time a group of A Lister scammers were hassling her incessantly for money and love bombing her. “They were distracting me from my focus, it was annoying”, she said.
About her 2020 phase, Lisa Bree Hoggarth says, “I worked a lot in 2020. I am aware that ok, I’m not the only supermodel in the world. However, I haven’t seen anyone else showing up and doing what I did during the pandemic. What were other supermodels doing? I was my own make up artist, stylist, photographer and hairdresser. Most of the people were at home in their PJs. I saw this as an opportunity to be better as a leader, a force, an individual. So I turned up the heat and utilised that time to do something productive. “Maybe the only supermodel in the world has had a rough start and her influence is rejected — but I’ve got spirit on my side”, she says.
