Entrepreneur Mohammed Shakaoat, 28, migrated to Miami, Florida from Chittagong, Bangladesh when he was only 13-years-old. Shakaoat turned to sports as he began his new life in the east coast of Florida, joining Hallandale High School’s track, soccer and football teams. As a teenager, Shakaoat developed an appreciation for community by tutoring local kids and spending his summers volunteering at a Junior Citizens Police Academy.
With a highschool diploma in hand, he decided to attend Florida International University to pursue a career in criminal justice.
Completing a 4-year degree, Shakaoat quickly began a career in law enforcement as state trooper for the city of South Florida. After six months in the field, Shakaoat found himself torn between his developing aspiration to become an entrepreneur and his passion for criminal justice. Ultimately, he chose to part ways with law enforcement and pursue a career where he could be his own boss and work on his own terms.
While Shakaoat dreamt of owning his own business, he had no idea a random Youtube video would spark his jump into entrepreneurship.
Shakaoat started his first ATM business in late 2016, and now owns an astonishing 45 machines in South Florida alone. He combined his love for education with his vast knowledge of the ATM business to create a Youtube channel dedicated to teaching others the skills that helped him reach new levels of success.
After many requests, he created a platform called “ATM Academy” (@atm__Academy) where Shakaoat teaches more than 400 students the ins and outs of the ATM business.
The profits from his first business fueled Shakaoat’s ability to invest in Amazon dropshipping.
After struggling to find his footing in the Amazon selling business, Shakaoat met fellow entrepreneurs Andy Ta Kong, Marcello Cantu, and Paul Parker.
The four of them created Project WiFi (@Projectwifi), an Amazon management company that trades shares in return for valuable help running other’s Amazon businesses. Shakaoat serves as the Chief Executive Officer.
Nine months into creating Project WiFi (https://projectwifi.io/team) , they were able to generate $19,000,000 in revenue. The four now manage over 55 Amazon stores generating anywhere from $35,000 to $280,000 a month in revenue each.
Shakaoat hopes to continue to grow his own businesses and use his guidance to help more clients become financially independent. He says being able to live a “laptop lifestyle” and helping others provides him with a career he cannot imagine walking away from.
