With an American mother and Canadian dad, Emilie Kirchgener got the best of both worlds. She travelled back and forth from America to Canada from age 15 up until 17 during summers to attend theater school and workshops.
Emilie took dance classes everyday at Broadway dance centers and high-end studios. She also took efforts to assist people she met at Broadway. Working with the amazing Broadway performers and choreographers helped her carve a way to success.
The performer is extremely grateful for all the learnings at the theater arts center that prepared her to face agencies, casting directors and choreographers. She also went to another summer school, the Broadway Artist Alliance. It contributed immensely to her growth as it was too intense.
New York became home to her as she met new people and made friends with them but she continued to travel back-and-forth. It might be scary to some at the beginning, but it’s where the artist in her grew the most, says Emilie Kirchgener. Emilie Kirchgener made sure she met new people with every visit and explored America with her new found friends.
All of them shot a music video together and continued taking dance classes. Emilie is really grateful for all the people she has interacted with, the connections she has made and also for getting the opportunity to showcase her talent. People around her pushed her to perform better. New York was a challenge but a challenge she is grateful for.
