The Influencer Industry that came into being only recently because of the mammoth digital revolution was languishing in its early years due to a plethora of reasons. With the gradual realization of the power that this industry holds, Rohit Golia, along with Apoorv Bhatnagar, built a transparent, sturdy structure under the brand name The Plug Media. The goal of the business was simple – to streamline marketing and management aspects between creators and brands. What started as a small business idea, has now turned into one of the biggest accelerators of growth for content creators in just a span of 3 years.

Before deep diving into nurturing his brainchild, Rohit Golia headed the marketing division for a large retail chain. He has a degree in Accounts, a PGD in Marketing, and a Masters in International Business Management from the University of Exeter (UK), all of which have strengthened his premise to be in the vanguard of India’s young entrepreneurial minds. WIth every new phase of his entrepreneurial journey, Rohit focused on enhancing his strategic and creative skills, consequently illuminating his prowess as a young businessman.

When asked about his success measure for The Plug Media’s journey so far, Rohit elucidates, “We have our fair share of small victories everyday, but our biggest accomplishment has been the dominant and untainted goodwill we’ve built for the company over the last 3 years. Our biggest milestone is our concrete foothold in the industry.”
In the 3 successful years of The Plug Media, Rohit’s business acumen has outshone in the industry because of his commitment to progress, sound financial awareness and willingness to take risks – making him a distinguished name amongst his peers. He has given his time and effort to build genuine connections, head fearless collaborations and solidify partnerships with various brands and creators.

As Rohit Golia continues to hone his skills as an entrepreneur, he shares some advice for the young creative minds who’re just starting off, “The most valuable lesson is to trust the process. Never cease to learn and grow through what you go through.”

To celebrate the journey so far, The Plug Media will hold a Beach Clean-Up drive commemorating their third anniversary. The beach clean-up drive will take place on 14th November, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at Juhu Beach. To make this initiative a fun collaboration, some of The Plug Media’s exclusive roster, including the likes of Meghna Kaur, Shivani Singh, Shruti Sinha, Steffi Kingham and Mohit Hiranandani, will be attending alongside many volunteers.

The Plug Media’s 3rd anniversary also serves as a reminder of the innumerable milestones achieved since its inception – having executed over 950 social media campaigns for influencers, content creators with over 220 of the finest brands in the country. In an industry that thrives on cut-throat competition, creating a prominent and unique identity is a feat in itself. Today, The Plug Media is at the forefront of digital space in India striving to etch its name as a monopoly in the influencer marketing and management industry.
