An Interview with Leo Olsen Guillot: The Man Who Became a Millionaire at 19

The founder of a successful consulting firm, a serial entrepreneur, an internet marketing specialist, an angel investor, a coach, and a mentor – this man managed to achieve all these things before turning 21. He made his first million dollars when he was only 19. He is none other than Leo Olsen Guillot, the owner and founder of Olsen Media. It’s a pleasure to have him here with us today.

Q: Mr. Olsen, thank you for meeting us and agreeing to this interview. Can you tell us a little about your childhood and how you spent your teenage life?

A: First of all, thank you for your kind words. You made me nostalgic. My childhood was like any other kid. Go to school, come back home, study, play with your friends, and repeat the same thing every day. Teenage life was pretty eventful. I wanted to earn money from a very young age. It’s not that we had financial struggles or anything like that. I wanted to be financially independent. And that’s when I started buying broken iPhones and repairing them. At 16, it was a big thing for me to make a few bucks every week. I think that encouraged me to become an entrepreneur at a young age.

Q: When did you first start a business?

A: This is an important part of my life. I started going to college in 2016. During the early part of my college life, I decided to run a fitness platform where people could connect with personal trainers to get fitness advice. I was confident that this business plan would work, and I would make a lot of money out of it. The failure of Real Fitness taught me that overconfidence is harmful to your success. Moreover, I was quite immature at that time. I didn’t have the nuances to become an entrepreneur. In retrospect, I think those mistakes helped me become a better entrepreneur.

Q: What’s the story of Mastermind.com?

A: Mastermind.com happened in 2018. I came across the Mastermind.com domain, and it was available for $275,000. I bought it because I wanted to build a platform where entrepreneurs could develop an online source of recurring revenue. Mastermind.com did amazingly well, but I recently sold the brand to Clickfunnels. I’m now more into social media consulting, helping entrepreneurs use social media to promote their brands.

Q: Do you think making a million dollars at 19 changed you as a person?

A: As a person, no. I’m still hungry for more success, I still want to keep giving back to the community by helping entrepreneurs, and I still lead an honest, hardworking life like before. Yes, financial stability allows you to lead a better lifestyle. I think that’s the only change I can account for.

Well, thank you so much, Mr. Olsen, for spending time with us. It was a pleasure to talk to you, and we hope you continue helping entrepreneurs achieve their organizational goals.
