From one competitive industry to the next, Massibilliano has big plans for the future. By Noel Doran
15 years in the music industry as a producer taught Massibilliano, a one-man fashion designer, the ins and outs of Los Angeles’ culture. He created beautiful sounds for the ears, working with names such as Pitbull and Timbaland, but wanted to branch out by creating something beautiful to touch: his brand, Mypuzzy.
Inspired by the club and party scene in LA, Mypuzzy is a luxury fashion line that prides itself on uniqueness, quality, and absolutely no overproduction. Massibilliano has taken to the streets of LA, both day and night, to scope out inspiration for his brand, but don’t be mistaken, all of Massibilliano’s designs are one of a kind and come straight from his never-ending imagination, which has “as many ideas as stars in the sky.” The biggest selling point of his brand is that it truly is a one-man show, with Massibilliano being the designer, producer, and CEO. A self-made creator who came into the industry having little to no knowledge of fashion and designing, he has worked his way up to already having several lingerie and pant collections on his website.
Massibilliano wants his brand to inspire people to believe in themselves and their visions, opening their eyes to the idea that anything is possible. Massibilliano’s creativity was sparked after he saw a woman who appeared to be wearing underwear over her jeans. This design piqued his interest, and he immediately went home and sketched out 50 designs for pants. He sketches all of his ideas, including ones that are not wearable; but why sketch a piece that will not be able to be made? Massibilliano explained that no idea is a bad one and seeing it on paper could possibly inspire the next piece. Inspiration can come from anywhere at any time, if one is looking in the right places at the right time.
Challenges and roadblocks are necessary in the fashion and design industry to learn valuable lessons, and Massibilliano is no stranger to this. After years of being a successful music producer, his last single with Stevie B. featuring Pitbull did not reach the top 20 list. This was his sign to move on to better things and to move his career in a new direction. The goal was to enter an industry where an individual could rise up through the ranks and eventually be the face of the brand, which led him to the fashion scene.
Currently, he is working on a new skirt line for the summer as well as an NFT collection of Mypuzzy Cats. What sets Massibilliano apart from other designers is that he is “always 10 years ahead of [the competition] and doesn’t care about what people think.” He thinks of himself as the next Dan Bilzerian, creating luxury fashion and building the next hottest brand for women. The endgame for Massibilliano and Mypuzzy includes fashion weeks, covers on widely recognized magazines, and a mansion; the likes of Hugh Hefner’s famous Playboy mansion with large, exclusive parties, photoshoots, and showrooms would be ideal said Massibilliano. He is also planning fashion shows in the middle of some of the busiest and most famous streets in Los Angeles. No matter what the future of fashion looks like, Massibilliano is certain that his work will be woven into the fabric of the industry: “Playboy is dead! Mypuzzy is coming!”
