“Nothing in life is worth doing without love and passion.” Alexis Parcells

As a mother of two daughters, it’s clear to see why Dr. Alexis Parcells would be passionate about women’s health and empowerment. Dr. Parcells is a board-certified plastic surgeon and business owner. She enjoys using her skills, passion, and knowledge to help women understand their bodies and decide what works for them.

Dr. Parcells first became interested in plastic surgery through her volunteer work with Operation Smile. It was on her first medical mission at the age of 16 to Morocco where she saw the lives of children and their families changed with a simple 1-hour operation. She became passionate about enacting that type of change in the lives of her future patients and focused her studies on a career in medicine.

It was at St. George’s where Alexis would focus her studies on plastic surgery. She found immense joy in treating and helping members of her community and decided to focus her practice on breast reduction and aesthetics. She has since expanded her practice to other areas with the same goal of empowering her patients to make positive changes in their lives.

Despite losing her medical job in the midst of the pandemic, Dr. Parcells used this opportunity to launch her own practice, Parcells Plastic Surgery, as well as a wrinkle-reducing studio known as SUNNIE.  Services include Botox, fillers, and CO2 laser resurfacing to protect and correct fine lines and sun damage.  Dr. Parcells utilizes the most advanced surgical and nonsurgical techniques in order to achieve natural, beautiful results. Surgery is not always the answer, and often small non-surgical procedures can be combined with or without surgery in order to obtain the best result.

In addition to a successful private practice, Dr. Parcells has also found herself involved in the education around the stigma of cosmetic surgery for women and has a strong academic involvement in the plastic surgery community. She has authored several textbooks and professional journal articles, and she has presented her original research at numerous national and international meetings, including Brussels, Paris, Madrid, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. Her goal is to change the stigma around plastic surgery for women.

“I want women to feel empowered and not guilty or ashamed of their choice to have a botox treatment or breast lift. There is also a lot of judgment from other women, and it’s important for all of us to create a culture of positivity and self-love,” says Dr. Parcells.
