The Starting Of His Career 

After successfully clearing numerous GCE O’ Level subjects, Dr. Lennox Superville joined the teaching staff at Immanuel’s High School Barataria, T&T, in 1961, primarily as a Mathematics instructor.

He completed the arduous effort of receiving his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1978, making him the first Trinidadian American to do so at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY).

In 1972, Dr. Lennox Superville began teaching mathematics as an adjunct professor at Hunter College in New York City, and in 1978, he was promoted to tenured assistant professor.

He also lectured as an adjunct professor in Basic Programming at Columbia University in the City of New York, NYC, in Summer 1977, Biostatistics for Nurses at St. Joseph College in Brooklyn, NY, in 1978, and was the editor and author of Basic Skills: Arithmetic and Algebra, A Modular Approach (1978, 1979) for first-year students entering CUNY through Open Admissions (CUNY Open Admissions history). He was Co-Chair of the Journal of the CUNY Mathematics Discussion Group (1978-79).

His Further Endeavors 

American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T)

He started as a member of the technical staff at the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) Operations Center in Bedminster, New Jersey, in 1980, to provide internal technical support and technical expertise to numerous divisions within AT&T Longlines.

During his two-year service, he was involved in the antitrust lawsuit: the United States vs. AT&T, which resulted in the Bell System Divestiture in 1982 and moreover the testing of the 2.7 MHz cordless phones. Dr. Lennox Superville examined programming codes for aviation command and control systems and confirmed heuristic methods as a member of AT&T’s Technical Staff.

Radio Corporation of America (RCA)

In 1982, he was hired as the manager of network architecture at Radio Corporation of America (RCA), Princeton, New Jersey, to manage the design of network devices and services to serve the connectivity needs of their client devices, with a particular emphasis on providing visibility into the national network’s operation.

Research Triangle Park (RTP)

In 1987, Dr. Lennox Superville joined Bell-Northern Research/Northern Telecom (BNR/Nortel Networks) in Research Triangle Park (RTP), N.C., as a member of the scientific staff to develop knowledge and new technologies in the telecommunications business.

As a member of Bell-Northern Research’s scientific team, he conducted research on the simulation of processes on telecommunication and auto industry systems, prepared presentations on broadband communications opportunities for switched manufacturers and telephone companies, and a member of a team responsible for the development of technical requirements for a computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) network. He also collaborated with teams that produced papers on High-Performance Scientific Computing and Telecommunications Planning for the 1990s and beyond.

North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI)

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is in charge of the state’s public education (NCDPI)

In 1990, he was hired by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) in Raleigh, NC, as an assistant information systems director to implement Information Technology (I.T.) rules. During his tenure, he was nominated for the Governor’s award for innovative technogy implementation in 1992.

North Carolina Office of The State Auditor (NCOSA)

In 1993, he was named chief information officer at The NCOSA in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a member of the North Carolina State Auditor’s Cabinet, he was in charge of ensuring North Carolina State Agencies deploy safe and reliable information technology. He also supervised Information Technology (IT) project approval and oversight, procurement, security, planning, and budgeting at NCOSA.

After retiring from NCOSA in January 2009, he founded Infosysarchitecture, LLC (ISA) and serves as CEO, delivering a variety of services ranging from I.T. strategy development to leadership training. He has been a Solar Power Business Development SubAgent with National Energy Partners since 2017, providing solar energy solutions to install and run photovoltaic (P.V.) systems.

Pitech Solutions

Dr. Lennox Superville joined Pitech Solutions, Inc. in 2013 as the managing director of Business Development, where he was engaged with N.C. government agencies to acquire essential solutions to alleviate security concerns. www.pitechsol.com

LESA Communications.

In 1989, he founded LE Superville & Associates (LESA) Communications in Raleigh, North Carolina. LESA Communications gave him the courage to make successful career changes from assistant director to the director at NCDPI, then chief information officer at the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor in Raleigh, NC.

His Recent Ventures 

Dr. Lennox Superville did not quit even after achieving immense success. Working is his passion, not just a desire for power and money.

Dr. Lennox Superville is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder of Infosysarchitecture, LLC in Raleigh, NC, in 2009 and the Executive Director of Infosysarchitecture, Ltd in Maraval, Trinidad, since July 2021. He is also serving as the Head of Immanuel’s High School Alumni of T&T, limited (non-profit organization) since March 2020.

In 1989, he set up LESA Communications in Raleigh, NC. LESA Communications focused on installations of Satellite Dishes in Trinidad and Tobago. LESA also served as a confidence builder to pursue a career switch from an assistant director at the Department of Public Instruction to Director, then a chief information officer at the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor in Raleigh, NC.
