As Vigilante transitioned his career into being a professional actor he began to hear about a Talent Manager Wendy Alane Wright. Half the people who would talk to him about Wendy would encourage him to subscribe to her YouTube channel to pick up free acting tips. The other half would encourage him to take her full acting business course The Hollywood Winners Circle. Vigilante would go on to do both. Wendy’s teaching would encourage Vigilante to fix his resume formatting, give him tons of new acting connections and point him in the right direction to be signed and booked consistently. Vigilante loved Wendy’s course and set out to have her as a manager.
Less than a month after filming the lead role of Michael in the upcoming Netflix project Vigilante found himself quadruple booked in Tennessee. His first booking being “Killer Couples,” then “For My Man,” followed by “In Pursuit With John Walsh” and lastly the booking that blew his mind “Zaxby’s.” Vigilante became a master of getting himself and friends booked on the murder reenactment shows but had never been booked this closely for multiple murder shows at once. His “In Pursuit” booking ended up getting cancelled. “For My Man” was a successful show and so was “Killer Couples.” Saving the most unique booking for last.
The day before leaving Tennessee, Vigilante posted all his consecutive bookings in Wendy’s very large Facebook group Talent Managers For Actors (65,000 members). This post quickly got the attention of actors, managers, agents, directors and producers. This was the fastest Vigilante had ever seen a single post circulate through a group. In the back in Vigilante’s mind he kept thinking how crazy it would be if Wendy were to see this post. Less than an hour later Wendy was in the comments of the post requesting Vigilante accept her friend request.
After Vigilante accepted her request she shot him a FB Message inviting him to go live in her private group and explain how he got so many bookings in such a short amount of time. Vigilante immediately accepted. The next day he spent 1 hour and 30 minutes answering questions and giving out tips that have worked for him thus far in his career. After he went live the video began to circulate in the group. After 3 days Vigilante still didn’t hear anything back from Wendy on whether or not she enjoyed his live, however later that day Vigilantes phone began to blow up. Every person was an actor from that group telling him that Wendy had responded to his live. To Vigilante’s surprise she loved his live and agreed with a lot of points he made about the business. Vigilante was so shocked as she had wayyyyy more years in the business than him. Wendy said, “I see incredible drive in you Vigilante. I love your charisma and your determination to be successful. You are going to go a long way in this business.”
A week later Vigilante posted a video of him on the radio in the group. This led to another FB Message from Wendy requesting he share his blueprint on how he independently has been on over 100 radio stations. She knew this information could help other actors.
Vigilante’s shared his game plan with Wendy gladly. They spend the next few months exchanging information they both feel actors are lacking in and formed a healthy working relationship. At this point Vigilante found it fit to ask Wendy if she was interested in representing him. Wendy then broke the news to him that she is no longer managing at all. Instead she is running Hollywood Winners Circle Academy. This new broke Vigilante’s heart but not for long as the conversation would end with Wendy saying how proud she was of Vigilante and how she would have loved to manage him if she was still in that stage of her life.
Vigilante is so proud that he accomplished his goal of getting the attention of Wendy. Even though he was not able to have her as a manager the behind the scenes conversations he and Wendy shared will forever be fulfilling enough.
