Why 20-year-old digital millionaire Damian Prosalendis believes success could kill entrepreneurial drive

In his 24 years, Damian Prosalendis has had a remarkable life. From winning Greek’s National Kickboxing Championship at 17 with only 3 months of kickboxing training to making his first million by 20 after dropping out of university, the Greek entrepreneur has made it happen by conquering his mind and not allowing success to numb him.

Prosalendis started his first business out of necessity when extreme poverty motivated him to transform his destiny. Without any resources, help or experience, he started offering copywriting services on Fiverr.com, the world’s largest service marketplace. Prosalendis was particularly effective in crafting desirable listings for Amazon sellers and this led to his brand SPXMAC, which became the #1 highest ranked Amazon service on the platform. By the time he exited the business in 2018, his firm was generating millions and had serviced over 10,000 clients in 116 countries.

Flush with success, Prosalendis then spent a few years living large – travelling the world while living in multi-million dollar properties and driving supercars. Quite a change for someone who had been sleeping on a mattress he found in the trash just a few years ago. However this wore thin after a while. “I realised success breeds complacency and I was not as driven as when I was broke,” he reveals. With this in mind, he went back into business in order to share the gift of early retirement and financial freedom with his family.

Today his empire encompasses Badass Talent, a talent management agency, Studio Badass, a luxury lifestyle focussed production studio, Anax Publishing, a digital media company specializing in personal development publications and ProsaMedia, a business development marketing agency. His investment portfolio is suitably diverse with international real estate and Forex investments. He considers the latter his biggest success to date as he managed to scale his investment earnings from $100 a day to over $10,000 a day without much effort – a stark contrast from how he made his first million.

Keen to teach others to find similar financial freedom, Prosalendis now speaks at summits and mentors young entrepreneurs. He continually stresses how mindset is the most important thing when it comes to business: “To be successful, conquer your mind. Do this by choosing to do what’s hard over what is easy. Doing difficult things develops mental strength and self belief. When you’ve achieved that, anything is possible.”
