Mike Ogbebor, 38, (@MikeInc__) is an incredibly successful African-American businessman, world-renowned public speaker, professional options trader, and wealth coach. He has built a lifestyle most could hardly dream of, but Mike’s path to success was anything but easy.
At just 7-years-old, Mike found himself on a plane with his family, leaving Africa and venturing to the United States. He grew up in the rough inner-city neighborhoods of Houston, Texas in a cramped one-bedroom apartment with four other family members.
Mike recalls being thrilled to receive a visa to enter the United States but upon arrival felt like a bit of an outcast, as many of his peers teased him about his thick African accent.
“I knew I was a smart guy and I couldn’t always express verbally what I wanted. I remember talking at times and people making fun of my accent would set fear tingles through my body,” said Mike.
Determined to make a better life for himself and his family, Mike began his entrepreneurial journey at the young age of 21.
After completing his undergrad at the University of Houston, he was accepted to the Ross University School of Medicine but made the bold decision to drop out to pursue his true passion, business.
Mike got his start in business investing in real estate, as a mentor told him land always carries value. He thrived in real-estate, possessing an innate ability to recognize profitable investment opportunities and later became a professional options trader.
He used his year of experience in real estate and investing to create Newline Investors a venture capital firm focused on developing start-up businesses.
Mike takes great pride in helping others find their footing in the business world. “As a millennial, it is important for me to share the knowledge I have learned to help other millennials achieve success outside of a 9-5 job,” he said.
Mike’s advice has helped countless people leave their 9-5 jobs while creating six-figure incomes through their own businesses. He doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon, with a goal of helping at least 20 people earn 1,000,000 dollars by 2022.
The 8-figure wealth coach doesn’t just help entrepreneurs through Newline Investors. Mike also makes live appearances, speaking in front of thousands, inspiring them to follow their dreams while sharing his keys to a successful business. He believes his greatest talent is the ability to bring out the best in people, encouraging them to stop living paycheck to paycheck and to live to their full potential.
